Speaking on stage and on screen.
Topics I talk a lot about…
I can talk about email for 10 minutes or 6 hours. I have ready-to-go content on how to plan content calendars, funnel communications, how to write emails people will read, and how to measure success.
Empathy in communications
How often do we stop and think about our audience’s emotions when we design content? I talk about incorporating empathy mapping into content planning and writing.
Simplifying language for access
Language can be an effective tool to support students. Or it could be the barrier keeping them from understanding instructions, following processes and feeling welcome. I talk about the issues with complex language and offer solutions to fix them.
Insights over data
Decisions need confidence, not certainty. “Data-driven” is a security blanket that can (at best) be incomplete and (at worst) lead you to the wrong conclusion. I talk about seeking insights instead of data, and how important it is to trust your gut, too.
Productivity
Often what keeps us from succeeding at projects are not the projects themselves, but the menial day-to-day tasks. I share my own tried-and-true productivity hacks and tips on handling emails, notes, meetings, and file sharing.
Collaboration
Coordinating stakeholder interests is… hard. I share my framework for getting multiple cross-campus, cross-departmental stakeholders to agree on a single strategic approach.
Workshops for your team
Invite me to your next team retreat and I’ll help you bring people together and create the tools to help you achieve your goals.
My ready-to-go workshops:
I run public email workshops with my co-author.
Building a collaborative content calendar.
Creating journey maps for your enrollment audiences.
Learning from your data.
Training your custom GPT.
I can also create something custom. Reach out and let me know what you need.
Where I’ll be…
More will get added here as I get confirmations.
