Let’s talk tactics!
Talking Tactics is a podcast on the Enrollify Network. Each episode is devoted to a single tactic that moved the needle on any engagement or conversion metric. The catch? The tactic had to be done with limited resources (a small-but-mighty team, limited time, no budget). You’ll hear about single tactics from idea to results so you can try them too!

The origin story
Why did I want to start this podcast? Well, I’ll tell you. I wanted to…
Keep learning.
When I worked at a campus myself, my team and I could try tactics and see if they worked or not. Now that I’m not, it’s harder for me to learn through trying new things and iterating (only my very favorite clients take leaps of faith with me). So, I thought this podcast would help me stay current by learning from the folks out there doing clever things and seeing success.
Share doable things.
There are so many inspiring and insightful podcasts out there. But sometimes, what they share is difficult to implement, either due to resources or because they require significant strategic shifts. I wanted to create a podcast that felt doable. That’s why the focus is on tactics and not strategies — you can try new tactics without changing your strategy. And that’s also why the most important premise of the show is limited resources — so anyone can try the tactics regardless of resources.
Shine a spotlight.
The folks we hear from on podcasts or at conferences are usually experienced speakers or people who have established expertise or thought leadership. I wanted this podcast to be a platform for folks who don’t regularly stand on a stage or speak into a mic. I wanted to showcase my guests because the work they do is innovative and valuable, and they deserve recognition for it.
Sometimes I’m a guest, too!

July 2022
As content strategists and designers we do our best to create experiences that inform and empower our users. Unfortunately, we sometimes fall short of perfect, human-centered, user-focused design practice. Two of our most common failings occur when we bombard our users with excessive cognitive load and impose on them unnecessary emotional labor. David Dylan Thomas and Dayana Kibilds are having an ongoing dialog about these important topics and let me eavesdrop on their conversation.
